Wriggles Adventure

You play as a curious Worm who lives underground, by the roots of a tree. This Worm is  'not like the other worms', it doesn't feel like it fits in with the rest of the underground residents, and wants to find out why. Each underground inhabitant who stands in the Worms way has its unique appearance and character - the joyfully hungry Ant who wants to munch on the worm's tail, the Fly that likes the worm so much she wants to kiss it to death, the mischievous Beetle who throws earth balls at everyone for fun and finally the big, Old Worm slowly crawling underground, oblivious to what is happening around it. The player takes the form of our positive and fearless protagonist and starts the search for answers beginning the journey that starts from the roots of the tree and takes you up, along various platforms, past obstacles, and the peculiar underground inhabitants who want to stop you from reaching the surface, where the Worm's attempt to find his ‘’roots’’.

In this game, the worm's journey is limited to the underground and tree roots. We are thinking of producing a sequel, where the journey leads up the branches of the tree, where the Worm continues its journey of self-discovery.

This game was made as part of a game jam in our university. The theme of it was ’’roots’’, which we explored in two ways, first by setting the game underground, by the roots of a tree, and secondly by having our main protagonist search for their own ‘’roots’’.
